Principles of FlowVision testing
All the tests are stored in a Test base. The base is structured in a special way. The tests are documented according to the developed standard. Once a new option or model is implemented in FlowVision, the corresponding tests are produced and added to the Test base. All the options and models are tested before issuing each release or update of the software.

Testing a physical model includes testing all the appropriate boundary conditions.
Test projects
Projects for testing user options and auxiliry algorithms are normally simple (simple physics, coarse grids, etc.).
Projects for testing physical models and boundary conditions are subdivided into qualitative and quantitative. The qualitative tests demonstrate capability of the software to model a given flow or physical process (validation). The quantitative tests imply comparison of calculations with known analytic solutions, empirical correlations, and available experiments (verification). This section provides several quantitative test cases.
